Those of us who live in the so-called snow-belt regions, where roads often resemble ice-skating rinks during the winter months, have become accustomed to mishaps – so much so, that some people venture out with a camera in hand and just wait for something to happen.
The Upper Peninsula of Michigan, whose residents are frequently referred to Yoopers, which is derived from "U.P.-ers", is one of those regions where winters tend to be long, cold, and snowy – not the best combo for driving around anything on wheels.
