Lucky Scooter Rider Survives Highway Bump Unscathed

Here's another tale from Asian roads - one that has a happy ending, though, as you will soon see for yourself, it could have easily gone the other way with painfully disastrous results…

The driver of the car, the sounds of which reminds us of a Subaru model, was going faster than what the road traffic permitted, and at the same time, a scooter rider in the middle lane failed to look over his shoulder while changing lanes.

Someone Should Find this Driver and Report Him/Her to the Police

Making an honest mistake while sitting behind the wheel is one thing, being careless or to put it bluntly, a complete asshat, is quite another.

On Sunday, the driver of a previous generation Honda CR-V (possibly in Taiwan - if we're wrong, tell us in the comments) was filmed by a motorcyclist making an extremely dangerous move on the road when he or she drove between a Nissan Sentra and a scooter driven by a father with his child riding at the back, almost knocking them down.

Aussie Cops Looking for This "Menacing" Go-Kart Hoon in Sydney

What might look to us like a foolish act by a young man who rode a go-kart on a busy road in Sydney's southwest, has infuriated Australian police as well as the local media.

A passenger of a car following on from behind filmed the man traveling on the road before he slammed on the brakes, losing control and performing a 180-degree turn to avoid running a red light.

What Exactly Was this Bicyclist Trying to Do?

Good old Russia (or so we’re told that this incident happened in the land of fire and ice) never fails to entertain us.

Who knows why, though we're pretty sure you can think of a few reasons if you try hard enough, but a bicyclist travelling on the road tried to jump over a car that was slowly heading towards him.

The Kama Sutra of Motorcycle Riding Positions will Make You Smile

Okay, we know what you're thinking after reading the title and checking out the opening picture, and we don't blame you for that. However, we can assure you that, for the most part, this video is completely safe for viewing at work or next to your spouse – unless, that is, you want to try it out yourself…

The funny guys and gals from the Russian channel Vshleme came up with the brilliant idea of poking some fun at the art of Kama Sutra by applying the teachings to motorcycle riding positions.

This is What Happens When You Ignore Speed Signs on a Twisty Road

Many motorcycles are built for speed, but you have to keep in mind that you should always carefully select the time and place to put a bike and your own limits to the test.

A biker, who we come to know by his YouTube alias "RiceRocketKev", learned that the hard and painful way – they always do, don’t they?- while rocketing through a twisty mountain road, but was blessed to live another day to tell the tale.

His GoPro helmet camera filmed the incident that started with RiceRocketKev blasting by a group of other motorcycles. About a minute or so later, he passes and…ignores a 20mph (32km/h) speed sign going around 85mph (137km/h).

Mexican Presidential Guard Motorcyclist Overlooks Speed Bump and Goes Flying Into the Air

Seems we spoke a few days too soon when we said that Laurent Cochet, a.k.a. Lolo, a French journalist with the Moto Journal magazine, made the biggest motorcycle fail of the year when he hit a metal post with his Yamaha FJR 1300 and fell face first into a boat.

We now have a new and much stronger candidate for that award, and he comes to us from Mexico. An unnamed police motorcyclist was travelling in front a presidential motorcade in Mexico City when he overlooked the speed bump on the road. Huge mistake…

Asshat BMW Driver Tailgates and Honks Down a Couple on a Scooter

There's a saying among some car enthusiasts about BMW drivers and porcupines. Obviously, we're not going to generalize and apply that trait to all Bimmer drivers, but we are going to say that this is indeed the case with the man driving this particular BMW.

Even if we accept the video poster and BMW driver's claims that the scooter driver and his passenger were drunk as skunks (and that's debatable), what he did next is inexcusable and makes no sense.

Oh Mon Dieu! French Motor Journalist Hits Metal Post, Crash Lands Into a Boat!

Ladies and gents, prepare yourselves for what could very well be the mother of all motorcycle accidents caught on film – well, at least for the year that will soon be coming to an end.

And what a way to end the year for French magazine Moto-Journal and one of its testers, who we come to know by the name Lolo.

Leah Petersen is One Awesome Motorcycle Gal

As you can no doubt see for yourself, there's a very pretty face hiding under that helmet, but what really makes Leah Petersen stand out from the crowd in our world is her motorcycle skills as she is a professional stunt biker.

It's no secret that most men just love beautiful women who are capable behind the steering wheel of a car or in this case, the handlebars of a bike, something that Peterson freely admits on the "about" page of her website:

This is How You Know You're Too Drunk to be Driving a Motorcycle

We all know drunk driving is a serious problem of modern society and one of the leading causes of traffic crashes in countries from all four corners of the world.

Unfortunately, we're also aware of the fact that there are way too many drivers and riders who don't really care about it and continue to operate their vehicles and motorcycles respectively while under the influence of alcohol.

On the bright side, while you may find a way to cheat human laws, no one can escape the laws of gravity and motion…

1966 Batmobile Replica and Original 1966 Yamaha Batcycle Listed for Sale Together

We might be approaching the 50th anniversary of the campy 1966 Batman television series with Adam West as Batman and Burt Ward as Robin, but there's still a lot of interest about the show and its mechanical stars like the famed Batmobile and to a much lesser extent, the Batcycle.

The original 1966 Batmobile based on the 1954 Lincoln Futura Concept remains in the hands of its creator, George Barris, but over the years, many enthusiasts have built replicas of the car (see yourcars-007's ride in one here).

These include the one you see pictured here that is listed for sale together with one of the original Batcycles from the series at RM's upcoming auction "The John Staluppi Collection" on December 1, 2012.

Flying Mattress Almost Knocks Down Biker on California Freeway

How many times have you seen people on the road transporting their belongings in a completely unsecure way on their vehicles? The answer to that question is probably far too often.

Back in August this year, we showed you an accident that occurred in Texas when Styrofoam flew off a truck and hit a group of bikers leading to multiple accidents.

In a very similar scenario, a motorcyclist had a scary experience when a mattress that wasn't tied down securely on a truck bed escaped and tumbled down on a California freeway barely missing him.

Crazy Rider Hits Speeds Over 260km/h – 162mph in Bosnia and Herzegovina on an Aprilia RSV4

True, super bikes like the Aprilia RSV4 that's powered by the Italian brand's first ever production four-cylinder engine (V4, to be precise) delivering close to 180-horsepower, were designed to go fast, or rather make that stupendously fast, but there's a time and a place for everything.

And public roads, be that highways or even worse, narrow and twisty country roads with traffic, isn't exactly the right place for hitting speeds that sometimes exceed 260 km/h or 162 mph, which is what we're seeing in this video.

Suzuki Shutting Down its Spanish Motorcycle Production Operations As Well

Just the other day, Suzuki Motor Corporation filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy in the USA and announced that it is abandoning the car market in the country, while continuing to sell its motorcycles and ATVs.

Now we learn that the Japanese company is terminating all of its Spanish-based motorcycle production activities by the end of the first quarter of 2013. Not the best news for a country that is in a deepening recession with an unemployment rate of 25 per cent at the end of September.

Bulgaria's Vilner Gives Triumph Speed Triple Sports Bike a Bullish Attitude

When it's not catering to the needs of spendthrift car owners from China, Russia and other parts of the world, Bulgarian design house Vilner likes to apply its styling expertise on motorcycles.

Its most recent project is called the "Bulldog" and it is based on a Triumph Speed Triple sports bike. It was created for a Russian customer who was looking to personalize the appearance of his British streetfighter.

2012 SEMA Show Report Mega Gallery, Part Two with 338 Pictures

At “traditional” auto shows, car manufacturers take center stage to display their regular line-up and a concept or two with tuning and equipment companies more often than not, playing second fiddle.

Geneva, Tokyo, Detroit and Frankfurt are all nice and dandy for unveiling the latest production-intent models and outlandish concepts, but Las Vegas and its Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show is a different “beast” altogether.

At SEMA, there is something for everyone; from subcompacts, pickup trucks and pony cars to lavishly made hot-rods, the latest bunch of supercars and anything and everything in between.

The 2012 show was a real bonanza of thousands of modified vehicles and tuning products for anything you could possibly think of – and then some more. Since the event is not open to the public (the reason being, presumably, that it would have to last a couple of months or so…), images will have to suffice.

When You Try This with a Harley Davidson, You're Asking for Trouble….

We will let you in on a dirty "little" secret that may surprise a select few including the protagonist of this accident: Harley Davidson motorcycles aren't sports bikes and should never be treated as such on the road.

To give you an example, a telltale sign that you are definitely overdoing it and pushing your luck is the sound of stretched saddlebags scrapping the asphalt. If anything else, this should inform you that you are being too much of a "Low Rider" for your own safety.
