Just Some Aussies Hooning Around in an Abandoned Factory

You might not know it yet, but large and empty buildings can actually be an ideal place to burn some rubber and engage in what Australians and New Zealanders like to call hooning.

The crew from LuckyBelt explains:

"Last month we were lucky enough to have access to an old empty factory for the afternoon the day before it was knocked down in Perth, Western Australia. This was the result."

Arctic Circle Snow No Match for Nissan GT-R

Back in the 1990s, the press liked to call the Acura / Honda NSX the world's first, and at the time, only everyday supercar, which may hold true if you compare it with a Ferrari 348 and take into account only performance and reliability, but was it really a true everyday supercar?

Well, if you prefer to drive with one passenger alone and only during good weather, then the answer is yes, but if you want to fit more people inside and use the car under adverse weather conditions, then the NSX will no doubt disappoint.

Meet the Most Amazing Drifter in the World; Pole Who Lost Both Arms will Leave You Speechless

We might not know them personally, but there are people around us in this world who inspire us to stretch our abilities and come out of our comfort zones to make our life meaningful.

One such gifted individual is Bartek Ostalowski from Poland. What makes Ostalowski so special is that while he had the misfortune of losing both of his arms in an accident back in 2006, he never let go of his life or his passion for motorsports and cars.

In fact, the 26-year old Pole did the exact opposite pursuing his dreams of becoming a professional racing driver. He not only competed in the Polish Championship Rally Raceway Cross and the Polish Cup, but now he's also mastering the art of drifting.

Idiots in Road Rage Incident Almost Kill Pedestrians

It’s one thing being annoyed over something as trivial as to who's going to give way first on the road, and another when you take unwise actions and endanger the lives of others drivers and pedestrians like these two swell-headed egomaniacs.

The men behind the wheels of the Nissan Teana sedan and the Mazda CX-9 crossover were trying to intimidate each other in a stupid game of chicken on the road by swerving left and right.

Audi A1 Quattro Beats Nissan GT-R on a Wet and Twisty Track, Rains Cats and Dogs Over England…

Pitting an Audi A1 city car against the almighty Nissan GT-R sounds silly, even if said A1 is the limited run Quattro model with a 253HP engine, a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) time of 5.7 seconds and all-wheel drive, and the venue is a twisty and wet track.

The GT-R is much more expensive and has double the power, probably double the electronics, too, and is the car to have under those exact circumstances. Put simply, it’s probably the fastest production car bar none in such a scenario.

Watch a DIY Nissan Juke R from Russia Hit the 1/4 Mile in 10.48"

The original Nissan Juke R with a twin-turbocharged V6 heart transplant from last year's GT-R that beats to the tune of 545-horses is no doubt one of the craziest and fastest crossovers ever to be offered for sale by any car manufacturer.

It's also one of the most expensive as it carries a price tag of €500,000 or close to US$650,000 at today's exchange rates.

But it isn't alone when it comes to insanely powerful Jukes as one Russian owner has created his own vision of the Juke R fitted with an unspecified engine pushing out 750-horses.

2014 MY Nissan GT-R Bows at LA Auto Show, Goes on Sale in January [w/Video]

After the major upgrade it received for the 2013 model year, it would be logical to assume that Nissan’s GT-R would remain mostly unchanged this year.

Nissan’s dedicated Team GT-R, though, led by Kazutoshi Mizuno, has a philosophy of constant improvement. Therefore, the 2014MY GT-R, which will make its world debut today at the LA Auto Show, may look identical to the previous model but it features a number of significant changes dictated by the data Team GT-R collected after entering a stock car in this year’s 24 Hours of Nürburgring endurance race.

Soooo, That's How You Properly Drift a Nissan 180SX…

After sharing the facepalm-worthy video of a young man single-handedly (pun intended) drift crashing his Nissan 240SX on a cement pole, we thought it would be a good idea to show you what the rear-wheel drive Japanese sports coupe can really do in the right hands. Read more »

Nissan 240SX Driver is So Cool Drifting with One Hand on the Wheel…Until he Crashes

Everybody is entitled to believe that there's a little Keiichi Tsuchiy or a Tanner Foust lurking inside them when they get behind the wheel of a sports car, but that doesn't mean it holds true.

And even if it does to a certain extent, you should always pay attention to the road and leave the "look at me drifting with one hand on the wheel" trick for much, much later.

Will those of you wishing your father owned a Nissan GT-R please raise their hands? Now, please put them down and join those readers who already have one parked under their garage as we speak after the break, to watch the following videos.

What we have here is a young-at-heart father, who for some reason, reminds us of the late Don Knotts, who you may recall from his appearances in The Andy Griffin Show, the Herbie franchise and Three's Company, sharing his love for the GT-R with his family.

Eco-Conscious Nissan Leaf Stretch Limousine for Eight Goes Under the Hammer

As it turns out, the world's first street-legal electric limousine based on the Nissan Leaf didn't hold its job at the Embassy suites hotel in Nashville, Tennesse, for long as we found the car listed for sale on eBay with a starting bid of $50,000 (equal to €39,400 or GBP 31,500) and a 'Buy it now price' of $57,000 (€44,900 or GBP 35,900).

We first came to know of the existence of the Leaf stretch limo back in the summer from Nissan itself, which even released a video of the eight-passenger model (see below).

C&D Puts the VW Passat Against Newcomers Ford Fusion, Honda Accord and Nissan Altima

It's the most popular passenger car segment in the U.S.A. with well over 1 million annual sales and four representatives in 2011's list of the 10 bestselling models overall, including the Toyota Camry that finished 3rd behind the Ford F-Series and Chevy Silverado trucks, followed by the Nissan Altima (4th overall), Ford Fusion (6th) and Honda Accord (9th).

We are talking of course about the mid-size category, which is the subject of Car & Driver's (C&D) magazine latest comparison test.

The publication took its previous winner, the North American market VW Passat (not to be confused with the Passat sold in other regions) that beat the Toyota Camry and Hyundai Sonata, and compared it against three newcomers, the 2013 versions of the Ford Fusion (to be sold in Europe as the new Mondeo), Honda Accord and Nissan Altima.

Nissan Takes 2013 Altima V8 Supercar to the Track for its First Shakedown

Nissan's all-new 2013 entry into the league of extraordinary Australian V8 Supercars was only just revealed to the press last Thursday, but the Kelly Racing team that will field four Altima sedans in the championship has already gone to work trying out the car on the tarmac.

On Friday, the AU$1.5 million racing model was rolled-out at Calder Park Raceway for the first part of aerodynamic testing with Todd Kelly being the inaugural driver to get some time behind the wheel.

Nissan GT-R Updated for 2014MY, Laps Nürburgring in 7’18’’6 [w/Videos]

On December 6, 2007, Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn proudly unveiled the all-new GT-R during the Tokyo Motor Show. Design chief Shiro Nakamura proudly stated that Japan’s supercar reflected the country’s culture. However it’s not the styling but what’s underneath that aggressive bodywork that has made it humiliate supercars worth double its price - or more...

Kazutoshi Mizuno, though, who heads the GT-R development team, is apparently a very difficult man to please. That’s evident from the modifications he has constantly made to his creation, the latest being the one unveiled today, which will be known as a 2014MY in North America, and as a 2013 model for the rest of the world.

When the GT-R was launched, its 3.8-liter VR38DETT twin-turbo V6 pumped out 480HP. A year later, it gained 5HP but it wasn’t until 2011MY when its output jumped considerably, to 530HP.

One would think that this would be enough. Mizuno didn’t: that’s why he upped the V6’s output just a year later to 542HP and then, in 2011, to 545HP for the North American market version.

Police Academy No7: The Slovakian Edition

Something tells us that after watching this video, Officer Carey Mahoney might have a few good things to say about his men after all…

This footage was reportedly shot during some of sort of demonstration by the Slovakian Police force, but one that did not go exactly as planned – and that's probably a huge understatement.

Nissan DeltaWing Hit by Porsche Rolls Over but Gets Fixed in Time for Road Atlanta’s Le Mans Race

Apparently, Porsche and Nissan’s radical DeltaWing racer mix like oil and water. At this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race, the DeltaWing retired after hitting the barrier at the Porsche Curves following a collision with a Toyota TS030 Hybrid on lap 75.

Undeterred, Nissan entered the DeltaWing in the final event of the 2012 American Le Mans Series, the Petit Le Mans 1,000 mile/10 hour race that will take place tomorrow at the Road Atlanta track.

During testing, Gunnar Jeannette who was behind the wheel at the time, had a frightening accident when the DeltaWing was hit by a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup on Turn 11 and rolled over.
